Privacy & Cookies

Privacy

Your personal information:
Bug Art will not sell or pass your name, address or email address to any third party unless legally obliged to by UK Government authorities.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. We use 4 groups of cookies: Woocommerce cookies, Google Analytics cookies, Cookie Consent cookie and a cookie used by our web hosting company.

Woocommerce Cookies

To keep track of cart data, WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies:

woocommerce_cart_hash
woocommerce_items_in_cart
wp_woocommerce_session_

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies and without them the shop part of the Bug Art website will not work.

These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the site. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited.

These persist for 2 years, 30mins, when you close your browser and 6months respectively.

Cookie Consent Cookie

This cookie is set by the Cookie Law Info plugin to record that you accept the fact that the site uses cookies. This is a persistent cookie called “viewed_cookie_policy” and is set for 365 days.

Web hosting cookie

DYNSRV
This tracks which backend server is serving the Bug Art site at any time. This doesn’t contain or record anything unique to users and is a session cookie (it expires when you close your browser).
